Ramos Named Faculty Director of UCSF Dentistry's Post-Baccalaureate Program
Dean John D.B. Featherstone has announced that Dr. Daniel Ramos, DDS, PhD, a Professor in UCSF Dentistry's Department of Orofacial Sciences, will become Faculty Director of Dentistry's Post-Baccalaureate Program.
Says Dean Featherstone: "Although Dan Ramos has stepped down as Chair of the Admissions Committee after a successful 5 year term, his work in support of the School’s diversity initiatives will continue. In addition to his ongoing contributions to our recruiting efforts, Dan has been named Faculty Director of the UCSF School of Dentistry Post-Baccalaureate Program, which is part of the UCSF Interprofessional Post-Baccalaureate Health Program (IPBHP)."
As Faculty Director, Dr. Ramos’ responsibilities will include serving on the program’s admission committee, serving as lead academic advisor to the students, coordinating the faculty mentor component of the program, coordinating the Interprofessional Post-Baccalaureate Research Symposium, presenting lectures and leading seminars in the IPBHP seminar course, and coordinating the Introduction to Interprofessional Healthcare and Education session for the IPHPB program.
