D2 Reyna-Blanco Selected for 2013 CDA Foundation Latinos for Dental Careers Scholarship
D2 Oscar Reyna-Blanco has been selected as a recipient of a 2013 CDA Foundation Latinos for Dental Careers (LDC) Scholarship. The Latinos for Dental Careers scholarship award supports individuals of Latino descent who are enrolled full time in a dental program at one of the California dental schools.
"I am very honored to have been awarded a Latinos for Dental Careers scholarship from the CDA Foundation. It was a difficult decision to pursue my dental degree at UCSF rather than returning to my undergraduate institution. However, there has not been one day that I have regretted that choice. The support and guidance I have received from the faculty and mentors at UCSF is incomparable. It is because of them that I have been given a variety of amazing opportunities, including this scholarship."
About the CDA Foundation: The CDA Foundation offers financial support for oral health programs and dental education statewide. In this way, funding reaches local communities where it’s needed most. Two ways they give are through community grants and educational scholarships. Over the years, these awards have enabled countless people to receive more than $10 million in care.
