Dr. Mark D. Kirkland, Health Sciences Clinical Professor and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, announced strong results among UCSF dental students on the recent WREBs (Western Regional Examination Board examinations), conducted at the UCSF Dental Center the weekend of May 16th - 20th.
Among the results highlighted:
- 92% pass rate
- 83 of the 90 students who took the exam passed
Singling out clinical faculty Drs. Paul Atkinson and Oanh Le, he wrote "I want to thank both of you again for all of your efforts and tireless dedication to preparing our students not only for the WREB exam, but also teaching them to provide quality care for their patients. I shared these results with the Deans and Department Chairs this evening and told them how instrumental you were in helping the students achieve this outcome. Kudos to you both!"
UCSF Dentistry Dean John D.B. Featherstone hailed the results as well, adding his thanks to all faculty and staff who assisted in preparing the students and the clinics for the WREBs.
