Past and current student fellows have carried out projects both locally and in nine countries internationally.
Dr. Chaffee is the course director for two elective offerings: the Global Oral Health Seminar, offered Winter Quarter, and the Global Oral Health Journal Club, offered Spring Quarter.

Dr. Chaffee is a graduate of the UCSF School of Dentistry and completed a master’s degree in public health and a PhD in epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include the contributions of early-life behavioral and familial factors in the development of early childhood caries, as well as influences of tobacco-related decision-making among adolescents. He is an assistant adjunct professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences, Division of Oral Epidemiology and Dental Public Health.
