D2 Shibani Rajadhyksha Awarded Albert Schweitzer Fellowship
The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship (ASF) announces the selection of UCSF Dental Student Shibani Rajadhyksha (D2), "to join approximately 250 other 2011-12 Schweitzer Fellows across the country in conceptualizing and carrying out service projects that address the unmet health needs of underserved individuals and communities. Upon completion of her initial year, Rajadhyksha will become a Schweitzer Fellow for Life."
From the announcement: "Rajadhyksha will carry out a health and science education program for underserved 5th graders. She plans to integrate the 5-2-1-0 Healthy Kids Countdown, a health promotion initiative based on evidence-based messaging emphasizing healthy nutritional choices and behaviors. Community Site: E.R. Taylor Elementary School, San Francisco."
