Jeremy Horst Honored With Ralph E. McDonald Award by AAPD
Jeremy Horst, DDS, PhD, a resident in pediatric dentistry at UCSF, has been honored with the Ralph E. McDonald Award by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
Following oral presentations at the Annual Session, this award is presented to the Graduate Student Research Award recipient judged to have accomplished the most outstanding research project. The recipient receives an additional cash award. Established in 1991, the award honors Ralph E. McDonald, AAPD past-president and editor emeritus. The Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Council on Scientific Affairs selects the recipient. The Indiana University of Pediatric Dentistry Alumni Association graciously supports this award.
Dr. Horst's presentation was entitled "Genome-wide Computational Drug Repurposing to Drive Commensal Behavior in Cariogenic Bacteria".
Previous awardees from UCSF include long time clinical faculty member Dr. Ye-Ming Wu, and Dr. Caroline Coppe Peacock, a founding board member of the UCSF Pediatric Dental Alumni Group.
