D3 Padilla Awarded Tylenol Future Care Scholarship
D3 Ligia (Lilly) Padilla has been awarded a $10,000 Tylenol Future Care Scholarship, given to students pursuing degrees in healthcare.
A difficult scholarship to win, out of more than 25,000 applicants only 30 winners receive awards of $5,000, and a mere ten receive awards of $10,000.
Padilla is particularly grateful for the mentorship of Drs Maria Orellana, DDS, PhD, Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Orofacial Sciences, and Daniel Ramos, DDS, PhD, Professor in the Department of Orofacial Sciences.
"I'm very excited about this accomplishment" says Padilla, "and so happy to represent UCSF. And I appreciate the support I've received, especially from Dr. Ramos and Dr. Orellana."
