Roselyn Odsinada Oji (D2) and Benjamin Chaffee, DDS, MPH, PhD have been chosen as finalists to compete for research honors at the American Association for Dental Research (IADR/AADR) Scientific Session in Charlotte, March 19 – 22, 2014.

Odsinada Oji was selected for the AADR Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Hatton Competition – Junior Category.

Chaffee was selected for the AADR Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Hatton Competition – Postdoctoral Category.

"It's an honor to be recognized, and to be part of the competition" says Dr. Chaffee.  "And I'm very excited about this project.  The whole research team invested a lot of energy and effort in putting together work that we can be proud of."

"I'm a bit anxious, yet very excited to have the opportunity to showcase the work I did over the summer in the Habelitz lab. I am honored to be a part of the Hatton Competition" adds Odsinada Oji with a smile, acknowledging that the prestigious Hatton marks the first time that research in which she has participated will be judged in competition.

About the Hatton Competition: The competition is designed for junior investigators (junior, senior and post-doctoral) who exhibit potential for a productive career in dental research.

We wish both of them all the best as they go forward to represent the UCSF School of Dentistry.
