UCSF Dentistry's Howard Pollick for the ADA on Community Water Fluoridation
In the June edition of the magazine The Costco Connection, the American Dental Association (ADA) was given the opportunity to explain the benefits of community water fluoridation.
Dr. Howard Pollick, Clinical Professor in the Department of Preventive & Restorative Dental Sciences at the UCSF School of Dentistry and a member of the ADA National Fluoridation Advisory Committee, authored the piece and, according to the ADA, "did a great job conveying the ADA position on water fluoridation."
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has hailed community water fluoridation to help prevent tooth decay as being one of the "ten greatest public health achievements in the 20th century."
Costco notes that the print edition of their publication has a readership of close to 20 million people, in addition to being read extensively online.
