D2 Hernández-Blouin to Represent UCSF at ADA/DENTSPLY Student Clinician Research Program
D2 José-Julio Hernández-Blouin has been selected to represent UCSF in the ADA/DENTSPLY Student Clinician Research Programee during the 55th Annual ADA Scientific Session in San Antonio, Texas, from October 9 - 12, 2014.
The ADA/DENTSPLY Student Clinician Research Program was developed originally in 1959. Under the terms of the program, each dental school in the United States and Puerto Rico is invited to select one student to represent it in a research poster presentation competition held during the ADA Annual Session. The program allows DENTSPLY the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of dental sciences and offers each school an opportunity to showcase their student talent.
Hernandez-Blouin will present his research, conducted with Dr. Stuart Gansky and Dr. Lisa Chung, on parental attitudes, but not knowledge, related to child sugar consumption.
Previously Hernández-Blouin and his work have been honored at the 2013 UCSF Research and Clinical Excellence Day (Ernest Newbrun Award for Research Excellence).
