#8 in a series

As you know, the School's Accreditation site visit from the Commission on Dental Accreditation is nearly upon us. To help faculty, staff and students in final preparations for this event, we've created this "Did You Know?" series with some interesting facts and tidbits about the School of Dentistry. We will email it weekly until the week of the Accreditation visit from April 12-14, 2005.

• The faculty voted to initiate a pass/fail grading system for all courses in the predoctoral curriculum. A distinguished professor of education from the University of California, Santa Barbara consulted with the faculty and provided lectures, seminars and workshops. WebCT courses were arranged for all faculty designing courses in the new curriculum.
  
  
• All courses in the new curriculum are supported by an electronic platform called WebCT, which provides access to course materials 24 hours a day, virtual discussion rooms with classmates and faculty, and anonymous posting of grades.
