#11 in a series
As you know, the School's Accreditation site visit from the Commission on Dental Accreditation is nearly upon us. To help faculty, staff and students in final preparations for this event, we've created this "Did You Know?" series with some interesting facts and tidbits about the School of Dentistry. We will email it weekly until the week of the Accreditation visit from April 12-14, 2005.
- The School of Dentistry maintains a faculty to student ratio of 1:8 in its clinics and sufficient numbers of basic science and clinical science faculty to provide the breadth of courses required for predoctoral and international dentist education. The dedication of the faculty is evidenced by length of service of many members and their significant financial support of School fundraising activities.
- Over the last 20 years, current, emeritus, former and retired School of Dentistry faculty members donated more than $4.3 million for a wide variety of facility, infrastructure and other educational improvements.
