Daliah Williams named
Admissions Coordinator

Daliah Williams has been named Admissions Coordinator for the UCSF School of Dentistry effective July 23rd, 2007, by Admissions Director James Betbeze. "It was a difficult decision; we had some good candidates" says Betbeze. "But, in the end, we believed Daliah's dedication to the school, combined with her strong work ethic, made her the best candidate for the job. We have every confidence that she will fulfill the duties of the job admirably."

The move caps a remarkable rise through the ranks of the Office of Admissions for Williams, who began as an administrative assistant in the former Office of Student Affairs in the Fall of 2001, and has for the past two years served as Student Liaison in the Office of Graduate and Research Affairs.

"I am really excited to have been granted the opportunity to work as the Admissions Coordinator" says Daliah, "and I know I have some HUGE shoes to fill, following Carmen Alonso-Hernandez, however I’m up for the challenge!" She adds: "I'm more than confident that the experience and knowledge that I’ve obtained during my tenure in the school will definitely aid me in my new role. I look forward to the continued interaction with the faculty, students, and staff of the School of Dentistry."

Sister Charleane Williams is an operations manager at the Work-Life Resource Center, and is a ten-year UCSF veteran.
