Dr. Richard Jordan
awarded membership in the
Royal College of Pathologists

Richard Jordan, DDS, PhD, Professor of Oral Pathology and Pathology, Chair of the Division of Oral Medicine, Pathology and Radiology and Vice Chair of the Department of Orofacial Sciences in the School of Dentistry, has been honored with membership in the Royal College of Pathologists of the United Kingdom.

The prestigious award is based on recognition of distinguished scientific achievement by the Royal College of Pathologists, the professional entity regulating British pathologists. Membership in the College is either by examination, or more distinctively, by pathology community peer recognition for outstanding contribution to scientific discovery, making Jordan's award particularly remarkable.

John Greenspan BDS, PhD, FRCPath, Dean for Research of the UCSF School of Dentistry and Director of the AIDS Research Institute and a member of the College, commented that "this is a truly outstanding achievement, particularly since Richard's contributions to science and diagnostic pathology have now been recognized by some of the world's best pathologists in both medicine and dentistry."
