Graduating Dental and Dental Hygiene Students Honored at Annual School Recognition Banquet

The graduating dental and dental hygiene classes of 2005 were honored at the UCSF School of Dentistry's Recognition Banquet held on June 6, 2005 at the Marines' Memorial Club and Hotel in San Francisco. More than 55 students, faculty, staff and alumni received awards at the event, which was attended by all graduating classes and other dental students, members of the faculty and administration, alumni and staff of the School of Dentistry. The banquet was co-hosted by the School of Dentistry and the Dental Alumni Association (DAA).

Fourth-year students John Budd, Jasjit Dillon and Tanya Zaghi took home the top three honors - the Rule Award, the Gabbs Award and the Sooy Chancellor's Cup, respectively. Alumni Allen (Jim) Green and Brian Swann were also honored at the banquet, in recognition of having received the DAA's Medal of Honor, which had been announced in January.
