| The UCSF School of Dentistry collaborates with the College of Science and Engineering at San Francisco State University and the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at the University of the Pacific, to offer a year-long residential program, guiding participants toward becoming competitive candidates for future admission to dental school.
The program provides:
- Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) preparation
- Learning specialist consultation
- A Dental Colloquium in which to improve personal statements, primary and secondary applications, and interview skills
- Advanced science coursework
- Preceptor collaboration with either a UCSF or a UOP dental faculty member
- Interactions with health sciences students
- Much, much more
The program accommodates twelve students per year.
The program is directed by Dr. Dorothy A. Perry at UCSF and Dr. Barry S. Rothman at SFSU and Ms. Kathy Candito at UOP.
At this time, the UCSF School of Dentistry is unable to confirm its continued affililation with the program. However, you may still apply to the program through the San Francisco State University website. We will update this status on this page as more information becomes available.
