You show them - as you show all of us - how to serve, and how to give back.
I look forward to broadening our partnership, and welcome your ongoing interest and involvement in our School. Your energy and enthusiasm for our work has taken us from our humble beginnings, professionalizing the informal practice of dentistry in the booming post-Gold Rush San Francisco of 1881, to a thoroughly modern institution of global reach, working on the frontiers of clinical practice, science and technology, training generations of highly skilled health professionals.
As we undertake the search for a new Dean our values and dedication remain constant, carrying forward and building upon the great work of the past 125+ years, always mindful of our commitment to the community - paraphrasing our educational philosophy - "to foster an environment of mutual trust and respect through clear communication, compassion, and enthusiasm for the dental profession."
