Temporary Finesse, Permanent Success Comprehensive Restorative Esthetic Dentistry

Saturday October 17, 2009

What You Will Learn

Make every case an esthetic and functional masterpiece by developing and controlling critical variables in the patient’s mouth during the temporization phase. Analyzing the patient’s tongue, lips, and muscles of mastication will permit more precise tooth shapes and positions to be established, resulting in predictable success of the permanent restorations. Experience the finessing of temporaries on three cases and explore the intricacies of smile design, speech and occlusal function.

Learning Objectives:

  • Create world-class esthetic temporaries.

  • Evaluate and improve the esthetic and functional aspects of temporaries using digital photography and patient feedback.

  • Communicate effectively with your laboratory and increase your skill in evaluating final restorations when they arrive from the lab.

  • Improve the predictability of results so that fewer adjustments are required.
