The Center for Craniofacial Anomalies, located at the University of California, San Francisco, has been caring for individuals born with craniofacial differences since 1954. The Center is dedicated to the early diagnosis and treatment of craniofacial conditions, combining the most advanced surgical and therapeutic techniques with respectful and sensitive team care.

A craniofacial condition can occur from a birth defect, trauma or tumor. The Center at UCSF is experienced in treating children and adults with all types of congenital and acquired conditions affecting the face, head and neck. The following conditions are seen most frequently in the Center and therefore are discussed in greater detail in this website:

Since most conditions affect an individual medically and socially on many different levels, the Center at UCSF uses a multidisciplinary team approach to address the special needs of our patients. We are proud to serve the diverse population of Northern and Central California and welcome referrals from throughout the United States and abroad.
