D4 Alexander Nee
Selected to Present at 50th Annual
ADA Scientific Session in Honolulu

D4 Alexander Nee has been selected to present at the ADA/DENTSPLY Student Clinician Research Program during the 50th Annual ADA Scientific Session in Honolulu, Hawaii October 2-4, 2009.

The Student Clinician Research Program, conducted by the American Dental Association and sponsored by DENTSPLY International, provides the opportunity for one student from each accredited dental school in the United States and Puerto Rico to receive an expense-paid trip to participate in the American Dental Association's Scientific Session and to compete for awards on October 3, 2009.

Nee's research - centered in the Klein Lab, working with Dr. Ophir Klein - is focused on understanding how hedgehog signaling regulates dental stem cells. Previously he and his work have been honored with the prestigious IADR Hatton Award (First and Second Place), the UCSF Research and Clincal Excellence Day Award (First Place), and the UCSF Dental Alumni Association Award (First Place).
