Vincent E. Avila
Revenue and Patient Billing Manager
Dental Clinics / Patient Billing Services Unit
Vincent Avila has a varied background in accounts receivable operations at health services organizations, specializing in financial management. He describes his management style as "positive motivation through a team-building approach to problem-solving, with particular attention to follow-up and support."

James C. Betbeze, Jr.
Director of Admissions
James Betbeze began his UC career at Berkeley in 1993, eventually serving as Student Affairs Officer for the Department of Nutritional Sciences and the Graduate Group in Comparative Biochemistry. In 2000 he joined the UCSF School of Pharmacy as Admissions Coordinator, administering admissions to the PharmD program and serving on the advisory panel of the Pharmacy College Application Service. He also regularly represented Pharmacy at outreach and recruiting events. Committed to lifelong learning, he is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Administration at San Francisco State University.

Joel F. Pete
Procurement Manager
Dental Clinics
Joel Pete joins us with over 16 years of UC purchasing management experience, planning, and equipment/inventory management, along with a background in accounting and information technology. He is also an experienced facilities manager from UCSF's Department of Physiology in the School of Medicine, which includes recent experience in overseeing major office and lab renovations. Joel is excited about joining our team and seeks to utilize his "diverse administrative, purchasing, and budgeting skills" in the area of clinical supply procurement and management of the interface of the new campus procurement system and our MAS 200 system.

Alesia Woods
Manager
Office of Graduate and Research Affairs
Alesia Woods is a UCSF veteran, who comes to the School from the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Medicine. She has an extensive background in financial analysis, award management in federal contracts and grants management, and personnel management. She characterizes herself as "a multitasker and a problem-solver."
