UCSF Dentistry Students Triumph at AADR

UCSF Dentistry's John Greene Society was triumphant at the latest American Association for Dental Research (AADR) meeting in Dallas, Texas, April 2-5, 2008.

D2s Gail Garret and Chi Viet were selected from among many applicants to compete in the Caulk-Dentsply Research Competition and proceeded to sweep the competition, with Gail winning 1st Place in the Clinical Research category, and Chi winning 1st Place in the Basic Science category.

D2 Bo Wang and D1 Annie Chou were both selected to compete in the prestigious Hatton Competition. Bo took 3rd place, qualifying him to go on to compete at the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) meeting in Toronto, Canada, July 2-5, 2008.

Additionally, Chi and D1 Stephen Sadler both won AADR Student Research Fellowships.

The John Greene Society also won the Newsletter of the Year award.

Finally, Kirsten Rittenbach became the first UCSF Dentistry student to become President of the National Student Research Group.

The School takes great pride in all students who participated in the Dallas AADR meeting, and looks forward to continued success!
