The Graduate Record Examination is required for all program tracks. If English is not the primary language of the applicant, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is also required. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents to be eligible for NIDR support. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. Please direct requests for application materials and further information to: JacobsM@Dentistry.ucsf.edu

Financial Support Available

Five years of financial support begining with the third year of dental school is provided by a grant from the National Institute of Dental Research for two highly qualified students each year. We seek additional funds from university scholarships to cover entering students for the first two years of the integrated program. In year three of the program, the DSTP student receives support through the grant which includes a stipend, payment of tuition and fees, and some additional support for other research and training expenses. The amount of the stipend is determined by NIDCR. Current levels can be found on the Financial support page of the  COHORT web page.
