Description of Services:
Directed by world renowned TMD specialist, Charles McNeill, DDS, the UCSF Center for TMD and Orofacial pain offers a modified multidisciplinary approach to the management of head and neck pain related to temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain. The Center is staffed by specialists including dentists, physical therapists and acupuncturists.

Insurance plans accepted:
UCSF Orofacial Pain is not affilated with UCSF Medical Group nor Brown and Toland Medical Group. Our group is not contracted with any commercial medical or dental health plans. We provide services on a fee-for-service basis and require payment in full at the time of service.
Special instructions for new patients:
If you belong to an HMO or PPO or other insurance that requires pre-authorization before seeing a specialist, please obtain the authorization before apprearing for your visit, even if your dentist is referring you. Please bring all records related to previous treatment of these conditions.
Special instructions for referring providers:
Please send all patient records including clinical presentation and tentative diagnoses. If the patient has medical insurance, please have the patient arrange authorization prior to their visit.
Emergency Dental Services:
Emergency care, as determined by a dentist or physician, is provided for everyone regardless of ability to pay for the services rendered.
