Staff
The goal of the School of Dentistry Staff Work Life Committee (SWLC), is to create a forum for staff suggestions to be heard and to work toward improving the environment in the School of Dentistry for staff. Initially four subcommittees were established.
The following is a general description of the activities of the four subcommittees:
- Diversity - To make recommendations and assist the SWLC in creating a welcoming and inclusive work environment for all
- Health and Welfare - To initiate activities that improve the health and welfare of our employees (i.e., stress management, walking groups, ergonomic presentations, etc.)
- Celebration/Recognition - To organize events that celebrate and recognize the outstanding achievements of staff
- Development & Training - To advise and assist the SWLC in identifying and creating development and training opportunities for staff
The Staff Work Life Committee serves as an oversight team of the subcommittees. The SWLC is comprised of the School’s participating department and principal unit managers, plus the chair and co-chair of each subcommittee.
