| PROFESSIONALISM at the UCSF SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY
Training to become an outstanding dentist requires more than acquisition of new knowledge and techniques. At UCSF, we consider professionalism to be a core component of our academic program.
Professionalism and the attributes it entails are outlined in the document Professionalism as a Core Competency in the Academic Program of the UCSF School of Dentistry.
Students who fail to behave in a professional manner can be reported using the UCSF School of Dentistry Professionalism Evaluation Report (PER) Form (Adobe Acrobat PDF).
Repeated professionalism violations can result in a student being placed on Academic Probation, or even dismissed, as explained in Sections 6 and 7 of the Regulations of the School of Dentistry.
