Management of the atrophic edentulous maxilla can present significant challenges for the restoring dentist and the surgical team. You'll review the different treatment options for managing the atrophic maxilla and discuss the role of zygomatic implants in treating these complex cases. You'll receive an overview of zygomatic implants' indications, techniques, advantages, and potential complications.

Instructor: Sohail Saghezchi, DDS, MD, FACS
Dr. Saghezchi is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He received his DDS degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2002 and was honored with the Dean’s Award for graduating salutatorian. He subsequently went into private practice as a general dentist with his father for eight years.
In 2010, he gave up his practice and returned to formal education to begin a one-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship at UCSF. Dr. Saghezchi began the six-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at UCSF the following year. He received his Medical Degree from UCSF School of Medicine in 2015, completed a one-year General Surgery internship at UCSF in 2016, and graduated from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program in 2017. Dr. Saghezchi continued at UCSF as a full-time clinical faculty member after graduation.

Cancellation/Refunds:
Tuition refund, less a $25 cancellation fee, will be issued only for cancellations received in writing at least 3 business days prior to the start date of the course. No refunds will be issued for late cancellations or no-shows. We reserve the right to cancel any course due to circumstances beyond our control; under those circumstances we will refund all course fee payments. Please be aware that UCSF School of Dentistry CDE is not responsible for reimbursement of nonrefundable airline tickets or any other travel expenses in the event that a course is canceled.
