One of two department retreats this year, during the scheduled breaks. Retreats will be “hands-on" with a focus on department strategic goals. Faculty and staff should feel free to suggest discussion topics. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
The American Dental Association hosts “Dentistry for the Modern Age”: Dentists participating in the workshop stream How to Provide Excellent Care will learn how to apply the latest clinical recommendations and practice scientifically informed treatment. Educators participating in the stream How to Teach Evidence-Based Dentistry will learn how to build an EBD curriculum that instills students with the curious mind-set needed to provide evidence-based care.

The “Open Wide - Improving Patient Safety in Dentistry” single-day conference, to discuss how to detect, understand and mitigate dental care related harm, will take place on December 9, 2018 in Orlando, Florida in conjunction with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s (IHI) National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care.
