Ruth Kearn, RDH, MS, RDHAP, received B.S. and M.S. degrees in dental hygiene at the University of California, San Francisco. Her capstone project was to conduct qualitative research, to explore the preventive oral care by California’s Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) provided in geriatric long-term care facilities. Other professional endeavors include, completion of the RDHAP program at University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, and adjunct faculty at Chabot College and Diablo Valley College Dental Hygiene programs.
