UCSF Dentistry's Barbie Klein, PhD, has been selected as one of the recipients of the 2023 Academic Senate Distinction Award for faculty at UCSF. Dr. Klein, who is an assistant professor in the Department of Cell and Tissue Biology at UCSF School of Dentistry Dentistry and the Department of Anatomy at the School of Medicine, was nominated by her peers in the teaching five years or fewer category.
Dr. Klein is a Faculty Advisor at the UCSF Willed Body Program. She is the Discipline Director for the pelvic/perineum anatomy and human embryology content blocks for medical students and Co-director of the Biomedical Sciences curriculum for dental students. Dr. Klein is based at the UCSF Parnassus campus.
