Visit the School of Dentistry’s website and you’ll be greeted by a fresh, new look! The school site, dentistry.ucsf.edu, launched Tuesday after a comprehensive redesign and refresh of content.
Spearheaded by Kalamuna, Inc. (the firm that created UCSF Dental Center’s website, the redesign was several months in the making. Terri Hunter-Davis, manager of communications and content development, worked closely with stakeholders across the school to help produce a site that is easier to navigate and better serves user needs.
“One of our objectives was to create a site that allows prospective students to easily find information and negotiate the application process,” Hunter-Davis said. “At the same time, we needed to provide improved online service to our faculty, staff and current students. We’re confident our redesigned site is able to accomplish that.”
Another important goal was to convey the school’s mission — advancing health through excellence in patient care, education and discovery — through news, images and other compelling means of storytelling.
“The web is a key channel for telling the world who we are, what we do and why we’re the best,” said Melissa Telli, director of marketing and strategic relations for the School of Dentistry. “It is critical that our online presence reflect and reinforce the school’s position as a recognized leader in dental education, research and patient care. With the relaunch of dentistry.ucsf.edu, we’re elevating our brand and amplifying the impact of the school’s work.”
