Alfred Li was born in Hong Kong and grew up in San Francisco. He enjoys living in the Bay Area for its ethnic and cultural diversity, vision for sustainability, and access to outdoor activities.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California Berkeley, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. While at Colorado, Dr. Li served in several leadership roles and held teaching positions within the school's clinical and didactic curriculum. During his dental training, he discovered his love for orthodontics, a discipline that revolved around esthetics and engineering, two aspects of dentistry that he enjoys very much.
Dr. Li is excited to provide high quality orthodontic care to the community that he grew up in and one that he cares deeply for. He is also grateful to be a part of the UCSF Orthodontic family and help his patients create beautiful smiles!
