Dr. Elena McCormick was born and raised in the Boston area. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard College before she moved to New York City to study dentistry and public health at Columbia University.
During her time in the dual degree DDS-MPH program, Dr. McCormick was active in leadership roles as a part of Class Council, ADEA, AAPD, and the Student-Run Free Clinic in Harlem. She is very interested in health policy, prevention, and interprofessional collaboration to improve oral health. Dr. McCormick is absolutely thrilled to spend the next two years training in pediatric dentistry at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland/La Clinica and exploring the West Coast. Outside of residency, she enjoys spending time with her husband, hiking and birding, and finding hidden gems in the Bay Area!
