Dr. Erick Leyva was born in East Los Angeles California and grew up most of his life in southern California. After graduating from California State University Northridge with his bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology, he pursued his DDS at University of California San Francisco with his Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Leyva is dedicated to providing equitable dental care for the underserved community and hopes to breach the gap for communities who are in desperate need of dental care. As a child, he had personal experience on how stressful/difficult it is to manage the healthcare system when there are no interpreting services available. Dr. Leyva hopes to build an enjoyable and safe experience for children to create a positive outlook in dentistry and to make them feel at ease whenever at the dentist.
He enjoys being active such as weightlifting, playing soccer, walking his dog, and picking up new active hobbies as well as spending time with his family and friends.
