Liam was born and raised in Los Angeles County within the city of Lawndale, around 20 minutes from LAX. He attended the University of California, Berkeley and graduated in the Spring of 2021 in Nutritional Science Toxicology and a minor in Chemistry.
After graduation, Liam worked as a research assistant at the University of California, San Francisco in Dr. Edward Hsiao’s lab which focuses on the rare genetic bone disease, Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressive. Liam worked with both iPSC cell culturing and differentiation and mouse treatments involving microbiome, anti-cytokine drug treatments, and the role of pain in chronic bone formation.
Liam is interested in continuing research in the role of neuropathic pain in chronic bone disorders. Outside of research, Liam’s hobbies include traveling, participation in his interest groups, and Pokemon Go.
