Dr. Madusha Perera is a proud California (and Sri Lanka!) native. His passions for health care and community development began after firsthand seeing the pros and cons of how healthcare was handled while growing up in both Sri Lanka and America, and he was determined to combine the best of both worlds throughout his career. Dr. Perera did his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley and attended dental school at NYU.
His time at NYU reinforced his passion for working with patients from underserved communities, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and medical complexities. He is absolutely thrilled to continue that journey at UCSF. In his free time, he loves working out with friends, building his own custom watches, and spending time with his wife, family, and two tabby cats, Leo and Lily!
