Margôt Bacino was born in San Diego, California and moved to San Francisco in 2012 to pursue a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of San Francisco. After completing her undergraduate degree she began working in the lab of Dr. Stefan Habelitz at UCSF. Her research has focused on the biomineralization of tooth structures: one project is focused on the role Amelogenin plays in the mineralization of enamel, the other is focused on the remineralization of carious dentin. In her free time she enjoys reading, running, and exploring.
