Originally from Davis, CA -Maya has been enjoying her return to Northern CA after receiving her DDS degree from UCLA and a B.A. in biochemistry from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Maya is excited to be following in her mother’s footsteps and hopes to join her practice in Sacramento, CA after graduation.
Orthodontics has always been of interest to her, especially due to its fast pace patient interactions and puzzle-based treatment planning. Throughout her residency program, she has derived great satisfaction in her journey to increase patients’ confidence in their smiles. Maya also has a large passion for organized dentistry and advocacy- notably serving as the District 11 Trustee for the American Student Dental Association in 2021.
Outside of the clinic, you can find her shooting pool at the local watering hole, attending live music, cooking new meals, and running around Dolores Park with her and Maltipoo Pluto. Maya is currently in her third year of residency and is excited to be Chief Resident.
