Utsav Rana was born and raised in Rutherford, New Jersey. He earned his B.A. in Biology from Boston University, where he was also the captain of a fusion dance team that competed nationally. He then obtained his D.D.S. from Columbia University. Dr. Rana went on to complete an internship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the busy Boston Medical Center. He is excited to be on the west coast and continuing his education at UCSF, where he will be pursuing his M.D. and residency training. Dr. Rana’s clinical interests include craniomaxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and facial cosmetic surgery. In his free time, he enjoys playing the tabla, trying new restaurants, shopping, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.
