Bittong Brao Invited to Participate in ADEA Student Financial Assistance Advisory Committee
D4 Rosalie Bittong Brao has been invited to participate in new American Dental Education Association (ADEA) advisory committee, the Student Financial Assistance Advisory Committee (ADEA SFAAC).
"The SFAAC is being created by ADEA Board of Directors to advise ADEA about the creation of resources for effective debt management, to further assist the dental financial aid community, and to make recommendations about possible ADEA initiatives in this arena" says an e-mail from Anne Wells, EdD, ADEA Senior Vice President for Educational Pathways. "We value your participation and bringing the very important student perspective to the work of this committee."
The ADEA SFAAC will propose, and when possible, assist with the development of resources and initiatives that assure ADEA is actively meeting the charges referenced above while providing the most current, relevant, and high quality information and resources available to ADEA member constituents, including deans, program directors, financial aid administrators, students, residents, fellows, dental school alumni, and university administrators.
An active member of and organizer for ADEA at the UCSF School of Dentistry, Bittong Brao was elected as the Chair of the Council of Students, Residents, and Fellows (CoSRF) at the 2013 ADEA Annual Session and Exhibition in Seattle in March, while already serving as President of UCSF Dentistry's ADEA chapter.
In 2012, she was the recipient of an ADEAGies Foundation/AADR Academic Dental Careers Fellowship Program fellowship.
