On October 25th the UCSF Dental Alumni Association hosted the 10th Annual Bear Bash for UCSF dental students on what turned out to be a warm, beautiful autumn evening, at UCSF's historic Faculty Alumni House.
The Bear Bash, an eagerly anticipated event on the school's fall calendar each year, is an opportunity for current UCSF dental students in all classes to meet and interact with alumni and faculty.
It's also a notable "get acquainted" event for the recently-arrived D1 and ID3 classes, and this year we were glad to see many members of the DDS Class of 2017 and IDP Class of 2015 joining in the fun.
Given the proximity to Halloween many revelers appeared in costume, including Dean Featherstone himself as King Arthur.
There was plenty of food and drink and many raffle prizes for dental students, generously donated by the Dean, Alumni Council, and friends.
Many who have attended over the years felt that the 10th Annual Bear Bash was among the best ever, and the evening concluded with rousing applause and thanks for principal organizer and DAA President Carmen Hipona (D'96), and everyone who helped make it possible.
