Research and Clinical Excellence Day returns October 16, 2024
Program Agenda
RCED brings together students and research trainees to present their work through posters and oral presentations.
This day is one of the highlights of the year for the community as predoctoral and postdoctoral students, residents, faculty and distinguished invited speakers mingle, question, argue and learn from one another in an atmosphere that epitomizes the vibrant climate of discovery in the school.
What to Expect:
During the event, residents will showcase their Clinical Case Presentations. Abstracts summarizing the background, case description, results, and practical implications are submitted beforehand. Presenters, chosen to speak or create posters, will have 7 minutes to share their cases, with time for questions. Two presentation formats are available: standard case presentations involving diagnosis, treatment, and outcome, or topic presentations covering patient care principles with examples and references. Key components of clinical cases include pre-treatment patient details, medical and dental history, treatment plans, complications, and follow-up assessments.
