Developmental Disabilities in Pediatric Dentistry
The mission of Developmental Disabilities in Pediatric Dentistry at UCSF (DDPD) is to educate those interested in pediatric dental care of the various types of developmental disabilities that children acquire from birth to 22 years of age. Whether pediatric or general, every dentist will be faced with a child that requires special attention while under his or her care. This is an organization to exchange ideas, communicate, and work together to improve oral health care for the developmentally disabled. As this population continues to live longer, these patients deserve the same quality of care as others. We aim to provide future dentists with the knowledge, desire, and ease to work with this particular population.
