Content Top (Above sidebar) Title Oral Medicine Admissions Main Content (next to sidebar) Content We accept two postgraduate students into the Oral Medicine Program each year. Admissions Requirements To be eligible for the program, you must meet the following requirements: Hold a DDS, DMD degree or equivalent by the start of the program Take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), if your native language is not English and you have not completed at least one year of college or university-level studies in the United States or an English speaking Canadian Institution. Scores/results must be within two years of the opening of the application cycle: Minimum TOEFL score accepted is 95 or higher on the internet-based test (iBT). We do not accept MyBest Score. In addition, you must submit a statement of purpose that describes your interest in both oral medicine and oral and craniofacial sciences through your ADEA PASS application Application Procedures There are two steps to the application process: Submit your application through the Postdoctoral Application Support Service (ADEA PASS) by the application deadline. You must include the following: personal essay, curriculum vitae (CV), dental school transcript, all undergraduate transcripts, two letters of recommendations, dean's institution evaluation, and, if applicable Test of English as a Foreign Language scores. Please note the program code is OM83. Following submission of the PASS application, submit the nonrefundable application processing fee ($60 for domestic applicants, $80 for international applicants) through the UCSF application fee portal by the deadline. If you have international coursework: You must submit to ADEA PASS a course-by-course evaluation of all international transcripts by either Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc., or World Education Services AND upload an unofficial copy of the international transcript(s) to ADEA PASS. Please note: To be considered for the Oral Medicine Program, you must meet all qualifications and submit all required documentation, including the UCSF application processing fee, by the deadlines noted above. Interviews Interviews usually occur in late November/December timeframe, date TBD, and will be posted when confirmed. Interviews during the 2024-25 admissions season will be conducted remotely. Invitations will be sent directly by the residency program.
