The UCSF School of Dentistry Program in Global Oral Health promotes oral health worldwide through education, research, and community engagement. The Program coordinates partnerships and opportunities to improve access to care, strengthen health systems, and advance policies that elevate oral health for all.
2026 Global Oral Health Symposium
The 2026 Global Oral Health Symposium, “Perspectives on Oral Health in South America,” explored research, care delivery, and educational initiatives advancing oral health in Colombia and Peru.
The event, held May 6, from 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. PDT, featured keynote speaker Carol Guarnizo-Herreño, BSc, MSc, PhD, associate professor at the National University of Colombia, and speaker Ximena Concha Melgar, BSc, MSc, DDS, PhD, of the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia.
