The Global Oral Health Program develops, coordinates and supports research, educational and service initiatives within the School of Dentistry and beyond.

The program sponsors the annual Global Oral Health Symposium, which draws world-renowned speakers, and coordinates the Student Research Travel Awards, which allow students to develop faculty-mentored research projects in public health, epidemiology and basic sciences relevant to global oral health.

2017 Symposium

The seventh annual UCSF School of Dentistry Global Oral Health Symposium took place on March 21, 2017, at the UCSF Parnassus campus. The theme was "Worldwide Perspectives on the Dental Care Delivery Team." The UCSF Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies co-sponsored this year’s symposium.
