The UCSF School of Dentistry Program in Global Oral Health promotes oral health worldwide through education, research, and community engagement. The Program coordinates partnerships and opportunities to improve access to care, strengthen health systems, and advance policies that elevate oral health for all.
About the symposium
Each year, the Global Oral Health Program hosts an international symposium that brings together experts, policymakers, and practitioners to address pressing oral health topics. The event highlights innovative research, collaborative models of care, and strategies to integrate oral health into broader global health priorities.
2025 Global Oral Health Symposium
The 2025 Global Oral Health Symposium, “Food, Food Systems, and Oral Health,” explored how diet, nutrition policy, and global food production systems influence oral health across populations. Speakers discussed emerging research on sugar reduction strategies, food environments, and the integration of oral health into global nutrition and health agendas.
