Policies and Accountability

Student conduct and dispute resolution

UCSF upholds the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. Learn about the policies and procedures that guide student conduct, grievance resolution, and accreditation-related concerns.

  • Academic grievances may be filed only when a student believes faculty bias or wrongdoing has occurred, not simply over disagreements such as dissatisfaction with a grade.

  • The School of Dentistry follows the UCSF Policy on Student Conduct and Discipline. At UCSF, student conduct is considered a part of a student’s academic performance.

  • Students may submit formal complaints to the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) regarding a program’s compliance with accreditation standards, policies, or procedures.
